To place an international telephone call, the number to dial will consist of an access code followed by a country and area code. That is;
access code + country code + area code (if any) + telephone number
The access code is specific to the country/mobile operator from which the call is originated. There may be more than one access code available ranging from the default to budget services. If the access code is replaced by the International Code (“+”), the default access code is automatically used.
This application enables the user to quickly and conveniently call/send message to international numbers using a preferred access code. No matter how the telephone number is stored in the address book (ie, with or without international access code and/or country code), when a telephone number is selected, the application will remove the preceding “+” (if any) and append at the front a selected access code and country code (optional). By using the appropriate access code in any country, the cheapest or best alternative for international calls/messages for any mobile operator can be used.
•Save money by selecting a suitable int’l access code for the country you are in or for the mobile operator you are using.
•Configurable list of stored access codes/country dialing codes.
•Can also be used for any domestic IP access codes (dialing prefix) if available in your country.
•For making telephone calls and/or sending short text messages.
•Allows for convenient amendments to a stored phone number (without changing the respective entry in the address book) before calling or sending a message.
